Students in the news
Our students have been finalists and winners for a number of awards. Digital Media Project productions have featured at the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) annual awards. Five groups have been finalists in the Best Student Developed Content category and have been noted for their unique business/creative mix. In 2004, MIMM students won the award.
Capstone projects from 2004 were featured in ICT Solutions magazine. In 2006, a touchscreen kiosk application designed and developed by students was reported in the Daily Telegraph and the students were invited to give numerous radio interviews. Graduates themselves have become identified as experts: the New York Times quoted MIMM graduate Leisa Reichelt's perspective on 'quick blogging' networks. MIMM graduate Carla Drago's work was nominated in the category of "Best Interactive TV Service" at the 2007 International Emmy Awards.
