Graduate Profiles

What sort of practitioners come out of the MIMM courses?

A defining characteristic of multimedia education at UTS is the integration of theory and practice to all of the relevant disciplines and professions. Students develop professional skills for direct application in the workplace, while also acquiring a solid overview and understanding of the social, historical and industrial role of multimedia communication technologies.

Our courses are designed to educate the innovators and future leaders of the various professions working in multimedia. Multimedia professionals make finely tuned judgements in a time of constant change. They need high-level skills and experience in their own professional field, along with a broad understanding of the social and economic impact of multimedia technologies. They need an intuitive grasp of the fundamentals in multimedia, underpinning an up-to-date, flexible set of production skills in their own specialised area. This is what we are preparing our students for - a career in a rapidly growing and changing industry.
