Would you like to combine relevant work and study?
In addition to their interactive multimedia studies, students are encouraged to undertake an internship as a means to gain valuable industry experience. This is part of a separate 12 credit point work-based learning program in which students are awarded a Diploma of Information Technology Professional Practice (DipITPP) upon completion.
Students can apply to do an internship while studying towards the Graduate Diploma or Master of Interactive Multimedia. Full-time, part-time, local and international students are eligible to apply after completing at least four core subjects.
Following an individual consultation with each student regarding their particular industry experience needs, teaching staff will:
- Assist in placing students in internships with appropriate organizations
- Monitor student placements
- Assess students' work-based learning.
Students already employed in the industry can also apply to have their work experience accredited through the DipITPP.
If you are interested in doing an internship, or would like further information, please contact Dr Linda Leung.
