UTS's suite of postgraduate courses in Interactive Multimedia - a Master, a Graduate Diploma and a Graduate Certificate - are offered through the Institute for Interactive Media and Learning (IML). They are known as the MIMM courses. The three courses are fully articulated, meaning that if you enrol in the Graduate Certificate you can apply to move up to the Graduate Diploma, or up to the Master. To articulate up you need to score a credit average in your grades over at least one semester.
The courses are designed to educate the innovators and future leaders of the various professions working in multimedia. A defining characteristic of multimedia education at UTS is the integration of theory and practice. Students develop professional skills and acquire a solid overview of the cultural, historical and industrial roles of multimedia communication technologies.
The courses are interdisciplinary, drawing on computer studies, media studies, design studies, and other relevant disciplines. They may be taken part-time or full-time by local students. International students must attend full-time.
Students from faculties across UTS can apply to take MIMM classes as electives.
